Socialite and reality TV star Olivia Palermo is becoming a fashion blogger!
She’s in Paris right now taking in some couture shows and at Giambattista Valli’s debut couture show yesterday she told WWD that her blog will launch midsummer and feature style advice.
This makes so much sense. Regardless of how you feel about Palermo as a person (or as a character on The City), there’s no denying the girl knows how to put an outfit together. She consistently looks flawless, sans stylist, and has an impressive knack for high-low dressing. Her Boutiques.com channel is one of the Google site’s most successful–she definitely has the power to garner followers and influence people. Plus, she’s friends with cool designers like Rachel Roy and Charlotte Dellal, so it would be interesting to see if any interviews or collaborations came out of her fashion connections.
Then again, this could be another one of those Olivia Palermo projects that gets reported and never seems to actually happen, like her acting career, her own reality show, and her clothing line. We kind of hope that isn’t the case, though. Discussing her own style on her own platform seems like a perfect fit for Palermo. (fashionista)
