Vera Wang Is Launches Makeup Line | Vera Wang Is Launches Makeup Line
Vera Wang, 62, is stepping out from behind the sewing machine and into the cosmetics lab, with the launch of her first-ever makeup line!
"Like fashion, makeup is also transformational," Wang said in a statement. "I love its artistry to accentuate, enhance or create a mood for any time of day or occasion."
Due to hit shelves in April, the Simply Vera Vera Wang Cosmetics collection will be available exclusively in Kohl's stores -- the same retailer that sells her clothing and home goods under the same name.
"Vera's approach to beauty is very much in line with her approach and aesthetics in fashion," Veronique Gabai-Pinsky, global brand president of Aramis and Designer Fragrances, BeautyBank and Idea Bank at Lauder, told Women's Wear Daily. "It's about enhancing a woman's natural beauty by creating a perfect skin canvas, and then allowing the woman to express her personality and embellish through color."

Back in Fall 2011, the NYC-based designer launched White by Vera Wang, an affordable, easily accessible line of bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses. One style was worn by Blair Waldorf's (Leighton Meester) three bridesmaids on an episode of Gossip Girl.
