Sony Xperia S Specification | Sony Xperia S Specification. The Sony Xperia S is the first phone from Sony that gets rid of the Ericsson brand and brings Sony to the front spotlight. This first phone has actually got a lot of stuff on it that is also first ever seen on a Xperia. Sony has thrown in a capable dual core processor, HD capable display, a slot for microSIM and 12MP camera. All of these are the first ever specifications found on an Xperia set. Another great thing about the phone is that it comes with 32GB internal memory, and Sony has promised to make phones with at least this much memory pre built from now on. I finally got this first ever non Ericsson branded phone and here is what I got to share through the review.
My review unit of the Sony Xperia S came with a wall charger, a warranty guide, an in ear headphone set and a microUSB charger. Design wise, the phone looks like a slab but is good to hold in the hand. Sony did not go for rounded corners this time; instead it opted for sharp edged corners that give you great grip too. The entire handset is made out of plastic which can get a little slippery at times but the comfort is always there.
For the first time ever, a Sony based handset has come with a HD display. The Sony Xperia S packs a 4.3 inches touchscreen which is also the largest the Xperia has ever come with. The HD display hosts a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, which without any doubts look amazing. The brightness level of the screen could be made a little better, but still the colors are nice and warm to look at.
The Sony Xperia S packs a good 1.5 GHZ processer with 1GB of RAM and Adreno 220 GPU. The performance should throw you very decent results which will definitely please high end smartphone enthusiasts. The phone should be able to get almost every task you throw at it without any hiccups. This also makes it the most powerful Xperia handset so far too. It would be simply wrong of me if I was to not recommend this phone. If you love style, performance and HD screens, this is the phone you should definitely get.
